Technical terms explanations
To understand better the terms used in our pricing table and on the platform in general
Seat
A Seat is basically a sub-account allowing someone to use the platform on behalf of your company. When you create a free account (Discovery plan), two seats are available: one is used by you, as the administrator of your company's account, and you can attribute the other one to a colleague. You can also choose to attribute a Seat to one of your already existing providers. In this case, such provider will be appointed as a Preferred Provider, meaning that it will use the platform separately from your account (it needs to have its own account) but it will be able to see your Private Pitches.
Public pitch
A Pitch is the description of a need for IT services (with all the necessary specifications) posted on PitchandMatch by a Client looking for a Provider. A Public Pitch is visible by all the Providers registered on PitchandMatch. Providers can reply to the Pitch: - by submitting the profile of one of their available Consultants in case of a Staff augmentation Pitch; or - by making an offer for a Fixed-price project Pitch.
Private pitch
A Pitch is the description of a need for IT services (with all the necessary specifications) posted on PitchandMatch by a Client looking for a Provider. A Private Pitch is only visible to the Providers that have been defined as Preferred Providers by the posting Client (through the attribution of a Seat). Please note that Recruitment Pitches can only be posted as Private Pitches for the moment.
Fixed-price Pitches
Fixed-price Pitches refer to the Pitches advertising a need from a Client for a turnkey solution (i.e. a new software, a new ERP, etc.). Clients provides their specifications and total budget for the whole project and Providers showcase their expertise and previous related experience in order to submit an offer. The matching process in relation with Fixed-price Pitches consists of several steps: a phase of short-listing by PitchandMatch, a selection by the Client and the organization of interviews with the 3 selected Providers. The matchmaking tool is not available for Fixed-price Pitches for the moment.
Staff augmentation Pitches
Staff augmentation Pitches are related to two different types of needs: - a Client's need for a Consultant in Time & Material format (based on a daily fee that would be invoiced by the Provider to the Client for every day worked by the Consultant); - a Client's need for direct recruitment (in this case the Preferred Provider will submit candidates profiles who can be hired by the Client). Please note that Recruitment Pitches are only available as Private Pitches.
Matchmaking Tool
Our Matchmaking Tool is designed to make it easier and more efficient for both Clients and Providers to find each other in relation to Staff Augmentation Pitches. Once a Client posts a Pitch on the platform, our Matchmaking Tool will compare Client's specifications with all Consultants' profiles available on the Platform and will send a notification to both Client and relevant Provider for potential matches that rate above 50% of suitability (between Client's specifications and any Consultant's professional expertise, location, cost, etc.) Of course, Providers can always submit a specific profile to a Client even if our Matchmaking Tool did not identify the concerned Consultant as suitable for Client's needs.
